1972 Porsche 911 2.5 S/T

The 911 S/T was based on the contemporary Porsche 911 2.4 S, and essentially served as the predecessor for the modern Porsche RSR race cars. The S/T was a competition-ready coupe created for privateer racers who wanted a Porsche to compete in the Group 3 and Group 4 series in the early 1970s.

This particular S/T was used extensively in races around the world, including the Daytona Six Hours, Sebring 12 Hours, Targa Florio, and the Nurbugring 1000 KM. This 911’s most significant achievement came in 1972, when it took the class win at Le Mans, and claimed an impressive 13th-place overall finish.
